V&A- The cult of beauty.

Recently I went to see an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert museum.
It was about the Aesthetic movement of the 19th century, and being a big fan of Pre-Raphaelite art and Oscar Wilde, I had to see it!
It’s wonderful to see for yourself the paintings that you have long admired in books! The entire exhibition was very lovely indeed, and gave a real sense of the era and the movement as a whole. Not only were there paintings and sculpture, but also furniture, literature, clothing, china, architecture and so on. It’s on until the 17th, so if you can do try to see it!
Now, my outfit for that day~
Onepiece- Innocent World
Earrings- Vivienne Westwood
Everything else- Vintage and offbrand
After the exhibition, I went for tea and cake! I had oolong tea, green tea roll cake and custard dorayaki.
I’m not as greedy as it might appear- it was split between two people!
Oh, by the way, I mentioned before that I’m going to Singapore at the end of August. I wondered if any Singaporean Lolitas read my blog? If so, I would really like to get to know you, and hopefully meet up in Singapore. Please leave a comment here!

PS Thank you very, very, very much to the maker of my valentine. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it!

  1. I love Pre-Raphaelites too. I remember the amazing feeling of walking into an exhibition in Bham and seeing in reality all the paintings I had somehow thought only existed as pictures in books. It's amazing to look at them and think that those paintings indeed have been painted by someone, and I may be making sense and maybe not, apologies. -.-Lovely outfit as usual! I find myself always looking forward to your choice of tights for some reason.

  2. I missed an exhibition with the pre-raphaelites here in Sweden a few years ago, I'm still sad because I really wanted to see it :(You look lovely! Your hair is always amazing I think.

  3. I love the pre-Raphaelites. I'm a big fan of both their art and poetry. Is the exhibition still on? (I've been living in a hole due to exams etc, and have no idea about current exhibitions). Love your outfit!

  4. Kaino~You make sense to me! Soemhow it's impossible to imagine quite how a painting will look until you see the real thing.Sara~Oh, I hope you'll get another chance to see these lovely paintings. Thanks for your comment!Piperita Patty~I'm glad you like them too! As for the tights, I want to get some more sheer patterned ones like that, they're perfect for summer.Alice in Fashionland~It's on until this Sunday! Hurry hurry! Oh, about the twinning, I thought it might be fun to do a twins photoshoot together, what do you think? ismonelle~I'm so glad you saw it, and that you enjoyed it so much!

  5. Singapore is great! I've been there last year. It's very hot though, so full lolita might be uncomfortable. The lolita's in Singapore are super nice, I really recommend to meet up with them! There is a store in Singapore that sells various brands (mostly AP, Baby and IW): Black Alice. They also organize tea parties and such. You can easily find them on the internet 🙂
