Hello dear readers! How are you?
I will be a shop staff for one day at Fushigi no Mori no Youhinten, a lolita and zakka select shop in Kunitachi. It is run by Ms Alice Kobayashi, former designer for Moi-meme-Motié and now head designer of her own brand Fairy wish. Sadly the shop will close down on January 26th. So this month is your last chance to visit this lovely place!
Last summer Fairy wish came to England, and I had a chance to do a fashion show and photoshoot for them. I liked Fairy wish for a long time, and I remembered Ms Kobayashi’s snaps with Sachi in Fruits and GLB! I was very nervous and excited to meet her. She was so kind and pretty, and I’m looking forward to seeing her again.
I loved my outfit a lot, especially the cockatiel printed tights! There are a few variations, but basically they are striped or floral with dear little cockatiels here and there! Since the print is not too large or busy, you can match it easily with many outfits. Everyone will admire them when they spot the cockatiels! Please check them out when you come to the shop. As well as Fairy wish all sorts of indie brands and Alice in Wonderland goods are sold there!
Also, Ms Kobayashi has organised a charity bazaar in aid of abandoned cats. I love animals very much, especially cats. The idea of abandoning a pet is very shocking to me, but sadly it does happen. Even worse, when the pet has not been neutered or spayed a single act of cruelty becomes multiplied. Kittens born on the streets grow up to be colonies of feral cats too wild to adopt as pets, and live their lives in harsh conditions prone to disease and suffering. The money raised by the bazaar will go towards the neutering/spaying of stray cats.
I am so glad that I have a chance to be involved in this event for an important cause. Other people participating/donating items include the illustrator Reica Chatani, the wonderful Sachi of Kokusyoku Sumire, and UK based select shop Teatime Treasures.
If you are able, I would be very happy to see you on the 19th! Please come to the shop between 14:00 and 20:00.
