Hello dear readers! How are you?
Today I’ll tell you about a cafe I went to in Akihabara. I don’t often go there but there are some interesting spots! This particular area has a lot of unique shops selling handmade items and artists creations.
The cafe I went to is called YuushokuyaBoo. The artist Ayako Takagi created characters called Boo and Uamou and that is where the cafe’s name come from. Boo is a little ghost, and Uamou is a horned creature. There’s another character called Nobody who looks something like the Abominable Snowman. You can buy goods related to these characters at the shop attached to the cafe.
I really wanted a Nobody, but it was quite expensive and I don’t have space to put him (same reason I don’t have a Duffy and Shellie even though I loved them for years…). I got a mini Uamou to attach to my phone instead!
The food was so good at the cafe, but I was so hungry I ate everything before taking pictures… Anyway, you can see what it looks like on their website.
There were two giant Uamous outside, a black one and I white one! I took a picture with the white one. My skirt is Metamorphose, and I bought my blouse recently in a resale shop in Koenji. It’s Jessica McClintock (formerly Gunne Sax).
I love the lace at the front….
And the puffy sleeves! Later on I walked to Ueno and had tea and this time I took a picture.
It’s sweet potato soft cream and houjicha! It was very nice but I am so slow at eating that the soft cream became super soft and collapsed. Anyway, it was a nice relaxing day and it was fun to go to a unique cafe!
On an unrelated note, I am in a laundry detergent advert now with Becky, the model/singer. She is so pretty and petite, and actually looks a lot like my good friend from England who is also called Becky. My part is very quick indeed but maybe you can catch it?
Did you see? I’m holding the product about 4 seconds in and you can see me over Becky’s shoulder near the end.
My 1 millisecond of fame, haha.
Thanks for reading and see you again soon!
