Hello dear readers! How are you? Hope you are doing well!
I had a really wonderful weekend. I went to a Die Milch concert in Tokyo! I met Coco last year at Austen and the Abbey, and when Die Milch were searching for models for a fashion show at their live I was very happy to join.
Katie (or you might know her as Capsule Bunny) also modeled in a short fashion show before the live event, along with Ayane (GLB model) and some lovely Die Milch fans!
Katie had a bunny on her head! So cute! I always have so much fun with her ❤
When Ayane walked in, I thought “What a beautiful girl! Why does she look so familiar?” Later I realised that I had seen her so many times in GLB. Check out her blog!
After the fashion show I went into the audience to watch the live. When Coco performed at Austen and the Abbey, I did not get to see it because I was waiting backstage preparing for the Fairywish fashion show! So today was my first time to see a live perfomance by Die Milch.
It was really mesmerising and totally wonderful. Coco is always charismatic, even in daily conversation, but on stage she has an even more amazing prescence. I think she should be a movie star! Jasmine was so cool, always keeping a poker face. Even without saying anything she had a strong presence too, and I was really moved by her violin. At one point the other violinist Yui joined her and there was a long piece of music with their twin violins. It was so lovely I thought I might cry! There was also a lolita cellist, and three princes on bass, guitar and drums!
Halfway through the live Coco did an MC and introduced this special product- Die Milch milk! Probably you know already but ‘die milch’ means milk in German. This is such a cute and clever idea for band goods!
Here is my outfit! It’s a set of onepiece and katyusha from Juliette et Justine. Since I wanted the gorgeous lace to the be main feature of the outfit, I kept everything else very simple. At Christmas my dear friend Rebecca had sent me this handmade choker, and as soon as I saw it I knew it would match perfectly with this onepiece. In the colder months I can wear it over a blouse or cutsew as I have here, and in the summer I can wear it alone! It was just the thing as the neckline of this blouse is a little plain. Thank you Becky!
You can buy this choker along with other cute handmade retro items at her etsy, Rebecca Wales Frock Shop.
I enjoyed this fashion show and live very much. I felt honoured to share the stage with such talented company, and I was truly transported out of everyday life by listening to the music. I also felt grateful for the warmth and kindess of the fans, even as I bumbled my way through the MC. I could feel how much the crowd loved the band and it made the atmosphere so special in this small live house. I can’t wait to see Die Milch next time!
Hope you enjoyed this post, and the music! I can’t recommend this band enough! For more photos of the event and further information, please check the band’s facebook page. By the way, if you are in the UK you can buy Die Milch cds from Teatime Treasures!
Thanks for reading and see you again soon.
