Hello dear readers! Have you heard of Cheburashka, the monkey-like character from Russia? I didn’t know of him until I came to Japan, but perhaps he’s popular in your country?
I visited the Cheburashka Cafe in Kichijoji with friends as part of an early birthday celebration.
I ordered curry and salad which came with a little Cheburashka biscuit. It was pretty good!
Here’s a full shot of the outfit I wore that day:
Thanks to my friends for a lovely day, and thank you for reading!
Hello dear readers! It’s been a long time since I last posted and a lot has happened. Today I thought I’d share how I spent my first birthday as a Mummy!
We all spent one night away at Hakone, right by Lake Ashi. I had a nice time relaxing in the hot spring baths and went to an Italian restaurant with a lake view for dinner.
The next day we did a little bit of sightseeing at the Hakone Detached Palace Garden. It’s not the catchiest name but it’s a lovely place!
Can you spot anyone on the balcony?
Thanks for reading and see you next time!
Hello dear readers! How are you?
In April I went home for a little while. We had some nice sunny days though it was still a little chilly for the time of year.
In spring the woods are carpeted with bluebells.
Our sweet little cat Nikita, who had a bath while I was at home! She’s an old lady now but she complains as loudly as always….
うちのニャンコ、ニキタちゃん。今年18歳になります！ We found fragments of a beautiful blue egg while walking at Selbourne.
We went to Lewes on a rather grey and cold day. I found some good things at the charity shops and bookshops though!
I miss England very much, but I’ve made a life in Japan which I am happy with. I hope I can continue going home often!
Thanks for reading and see you again soon!
