Lolita Blog Carnival: Your Perfect Lolita Themed Halloween Party!

Hello dear readers! How are you today? Hope you are well!

I recently joined the Lolita Blog Carnival group. Each week there is a new topic to write about. I think it’s fun because then you can read many different blogger’s ideas about that topic. It’s interesting to see the differences and similarites.

This is the Lolita Blog Carnival post I have written, and I hope you enjoy it! The topic is “Your Perfect Lolita Themed Halloween Party”

The are a lot of gothic/lolita/visual/alt fashion Halloween events going on this month in Tokyo. Some seem very wonderful (like the abilletage party!).  It was therefore very fun to spend time inventing my perfect lolita Halloween party. The most important things for me are that I can eat some delicious things, enjoy looking at amazing clothes, listen to good music, and do all those things in a really cool and spooky place!

Inspired by all the events currently going on, I decided to write about my party as if it was really going to happen, and this is the information/PR about it. The party/event’s name is WICKED TREAT.

WICKED TREAT

Wicked Treat is a Halloween party produced in special collaboration between Angelic Pretty, Innocent World, Juliette et Justine and Moi-même-Moitié.

In the Haunted Mansion in Tokyo Disneyland, there exists a secret party room! This will be the location for Wicked Treat. Entertainment includes live music from Kokusyoku Sumire, Moi dix Mois and Ali Project. A fashion show will be held with all four brands participating. In addition to that, each brand has worked to produce a unique food or drink stall for this party.

Decor:

Just as you’d expect in a haunted mansion, there are all kinds of creepy things around- moving paintings, secret doors, skeletons that appear suddenly in unexpected places, cobwebs and dust. For your entertainment, there are also genuine old fairground attractions such as a fortune teller booth and haunted graveyard version of Whack-a-Mole (with ghosts instead of moles). Collect trickets from playing games and claim brand prizes! There are also specially set up scenarios with good lighting so you can take a picture of your fabulous Halloween outfit.

Food and drink:

As previously stated, Wicked Treat’s four participating brands each have a special stall.

Juliette et Justine presents: La taverne des deux souers.

Here you can enjoy gorgeous cocktails made from high quality alcohol. Here is our menu-

Le baiser d’une vampire dans la forêt

Le finalement aria d’un cygne noir

Le petit coffin de la pauvre jeune fille

You can have an unlimited number of cocktails, however you can only order by rendering the ridiculously mangled French name of the cocktail of your choice into katakana and showing it to the barman. This will prevent excessive drunkeness.

Moi-même-Moitié presents: DIX-licious

Savoury foods with a gothic twist. Here is our menu-

An elegant cheeseboard specially selected by Mana-sama himself. Accompanied by black sesame crackers (choose between bat-shaped and coffin-shaped). Mana-sama’s recommendation is the Danish Blue.

Mini servings of midnight black ikasumi spaghetti with blood red mentaiko.

Innocent World presents: Patisserie Nicholas

Charming pastries in traditional Autumn flavours to warm your heart. Our menu-

Jack-o-Lantern Pie

Toffee Apple Tart

Sweet Potato Pudding

Mont Blanc a la Nicholas (hazelnut Mont Blanc)

Angelic Pretty presents: Haunted Marshmallow Mansion

Cute and pop Halloween sweets! Our menu-

Radioactive Cupcakes

Glittering Candy Corn

Fantasic Lollies

Programme:

7pm-8:30pm Enjoy live music by Kokusyoku Sumire in their adorable Pumpkin costumes. Mingle with other guests and help yourself to the culinary delights on offer.

8:30pm-9:30pm Moi dix Mois take the stage. They will play a short set before an MC introducing the fashion show.

9:30pm-10pm Fashion show. Each of Wicked Treat’s four participating brands will present Halloween outfits specially made for this event.

Angelic Pretty will premiere their new print “Nightmare Sky”. Ghosts and goblins fly across a moonlit night! Check out the matching jewellery for this series.

Innocent World’s designer was inspired by the autumn harvest festival and will show a whimsical outfit with squash and gourd motifs. Please enjoy our original pumpkin lace!

Juliette et Justine will show  their new creation “Las brujas en el aire”, after a painting by Francisco Goya, accessoried with a lace-trimmed dunce cap.

Moi-même-Moitié will close the show with their “Halloween Bride” emsemble, modelled by Mana-sama. A black chiffon gown with a voluminous skirt and a long train, decorated with bouquets of electric blue roses. The front is mini-length to showcase Mana-sama’s lovely slim legs. A trailing black veil reveals his beauty but is forgiving to the little bit of stubble he missed this morning

10pm-12am Dance to Ali Project’s set and enjoy being in the Haunted Mansion!

  1. The idea for reducing the chance of intoxicated people falling around is just great, I love it!
I think I’d like this party, the food sounds delicious, and the fashion show would be really nice too.

  2. This was amazing!!

I really love the detail you put into this; it was festive and spooky, but still relaxed. If I could, this is where I would spend my Halloween.
